February Blues Rock 2025 (Feb 16, 2025)
When Rivers Meet

British family duo When Rivers Meet will release their fourth studio album Addicted To You on May 23, 2025. The album significantly expands on the band's signature blues-rock sound, bringing an incredible amount of new sonic textures and atmospheric and intriguing production that showcases the ambitious and dynamic music created by When Rivers Meet. The lead single and title track, "Addicted To You", opens the album with an insistent guitar riff, and the double vocals of Grace and Aaron Bond pave an inviting path to the euphoric chorus. The official video, in which husband and wife - double vocalists - share the light equally, exploring hidden spaces, winter landscapes, industrial ruins and sacred bonfires, is a magnificent memorable rock classic.

January Blues Rock 2025 (Jan 20, 2025)
The Dead Daisies

Few songs in American music harbor as many myths and mysteries as "Crossroads." Recorded in 1936 with a single take, Johnson's original gave rise to one of the most enduring blues legends: that he met the devil at a crossroads in Mississippi and traded his soul for unearthly guitar skills. Whether it's fact or folklore, "Crossroads" became the foundation of modern blues, later electrified by the Cream band in 1968 and inspired generations of musicians. Now The Dead Daisies have put their own stamp on the song, conveying its raw emotions with explosive guitars, driving rhythms and emotionless vocals.
The Black Label Society

The Black Label Society, led by guitarist/vocalist Zakk Wilde (Ozzy Osbourne, Pantera, Zakk Sabbath), presented a new song and video clip "Lord Humungus". From concert news: Black Label Society will headline the Milwaukee Metal Fest on May 17, 2025 at The Rave / Eagles Club in Milwaukee, WI.
Black Label Society is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1998 by guitarist/vocalist Zakk Wylde. To date, the band has released eleven studio albums, two live albums, two compilation albums, one EP and three video albums.
David Lee Roth

40 years ago, David Lee Roth officially debuted as a solo artist with the EP Crazy From The Heat. It reached the Top 15 of the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA. In addition, he recorded a couple of hits on the Billboard Hot 100 - the medley of "Just a Gigolo/I Ain't Got Nobody" rose to #12, and his song "California Girls" by The Beach Boys soared to #3, repeating the success of the original 1965. Meanwhile, "Crazy From The Heat" would later become the title of his autobiography, which became a New York Times bestseller in 1997.
The EP paved the way for his first full-length solo LP, Eat 'Em And Smile. Released on July 7, 1986, it charted in the top 5 of the Billboard 200 and eventually went platinum by the RIAA. Roth enhanced his sound with an all-star band consisting of Billy Sheehan (bass), Gregg Bissonnette (drums) and Steve Vai (guitar). Together they performed such anthems as "Yankee Rose", "Tobacco Road", "That's Life" and others.
Switchfoot & Buddy Guy

Medal-bearer of Chicago blues, Buddy Guy is one of the last living representatives of the golden era of the genre. With a career spanning over seven decades, Guy has influenced such iconic guitar artists as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and an eight-time Grammy Award winner, Guy continues to shape the future of the blues by carrying its deep traditions.
Having sold over 10 million albums, won a Grammy Award, and gained a worldwide reputation for their emotionally intense performances, Switchfoot continues to evolve. The album "Last Man Standing" testifies to their fearless approach - an unexpected but smooth fusion of their alt-rock roots with the soul of the blues.
Will Wilde

The album is a traditional blues-rock album, done right. It is equally inspired by the Taj Mahal, Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker and Gary Moore. Wilde himself said that his goal was to create "straightforward blues material with the same intensity as on albums by Walter Trout or Gary Moore." And for the most part, the album provides just that in high quality.
Ellie Venable

Texas singer, songwriter and guitarist Ellie Venable has unveiled "Keep Me In Mind", the latest sample from her upcoming album Money & Power, which is scheduled for release on April 18 via Ruf Records. A music video is attached to the new song, which captures behind-the-scenes footage of the band bringing the track to life in the studio.
Venable said, "This beautiful love song conveys vulnerability and a deep longing to be cherished and to keep in the mind of someone who is dear to you. The gentle melody and emotional lyrics speak to a universal human experience - the desire to maintain this intimate connection, even when distance threatens to interfere. It's a poignant and touching track that will resonate with listeners."
Joe Bonamassa

Blues-rock artist Joe Bonamassa has returned with a new single "Shake This Ground". A bold, anthemic call to free oneself from the past and present, the track pulsates with raw intensity, combining Bonamassa's virtuoso guitar work with a thrilling narrative and unrelenting rhythm.
The song "Shake This Ground", written by Bonamassa in collaboration with James House, tells that hard times have come in a relationship and you need to find a way to shake things up before it's too late. The confident rhythm and soulful lyrics of the song reflect the moment when two people realize the need to break out of a rut and return to what made them strong from the very beginning. Bonamassa's rich, expressive vocals bring roughness and warmth to the track, making every word feel real and lived. Lines like "I'm not saying I have all the answers, because I have more questions than I need," speak to the insecurity that can creep into any relationship, and the powerful chorus is a movement forward, hope, and an inspiring reminder that it's never too late to change everything.
Hannah Viklund

Hannah Viklund, at the age of 27, is already considered a veteran in the music world. Viklund is a singer, songwriter and an incendiary guitarist. She performed on the same stage with many famous performers and participated in the Eric Clapton Crossroads Festival. Having released two previous full-length studio recordings, Viklund has released a new release, Live At The Troubadour, which includes many of these studio songs performed live by her four-piece band. The band is a very tight, well-rehearsed team that plays great with each other, rising and falling back at the right moments. The live recording was made during Viklund's "Hell In The Hallway World Tour" in 2024.
Hannah Wickland is a person we will hear and see much more often in the coming years. She has all the skills and talents necessary to succeed in the music business.
